9:30AM - 11:30PM:- Invasives Eradication:
Marc Imlay, Conservation Biologist will lead an invasive plant species eradication effort at the Magruder Park, Hyattsville Maryland.

10:00AM - 3:00PM:- AWS Assists MNCPPC Weed Warriors establish invasive control models.
Join Marc Imlay, Conservation Biologist at Little Paint Branch Park and Cherry Hill Road Community Park, Beltsville, MD.
Our day will include natural history and special features of the park, methods and reasons for the project to control the spread of invasives. Native flowers and other plants will be identified as we work to rescue them. There will be a sign-in and safety orientation with handouts. Gloves and tools are provided. Our objective is to remove the invasives to allow natives to grow back.

7:00PM:- A Benefit for the AWS and screening of WE ALL LIVE DOWNSTREAM
Please join Pat Gladding and others on Tuesday March 13th at  for the screening of WE ALL LIVE DOWNSTREAM at 7:00PM, a film by A.C. Warden and Karen Hirsch. The event will commemorate WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH and raise funds for the AWS.

9:00AM to 1:00PM:- KEEP IT CLEAN: S.W. WATERFRONT CLEANUP EVENT
PN-Hoffman and AWS is hosting a cleanup event along the SW Waterfront as a local effort to enlighten metropolitan citizens on resource stewardship, reduce water pollution and treat an eye sore! View flyer here.

9:00AM:- AWS trip to the Chesapeake Native Nursery
Volunteers meet at the George Washington House (AWS headquarters) to carpool to the nursery. We will be harvsting mature native plants and transporting them to the Univ. of Maryland greenhouses for the big revegetation planting on March 31st.

Join Marc Imlay and Pat Gladding at Magruder Park for invasive plant removal. Groups will divide up and work in various areas in the park including planting natives along the Northwest Branch.
