Turbid water is coming from a stormwater pipe. These two pipes are the source of Long Branch - one of the tributaries of Sligo. Once a stream is piped, it is very difficult to identify the source of contaminants. See the picture of the site named "turbid" in the map above for the results of this discharge. We should not have piped stream anymore.


Turbid (Unusual Condition)

This highly turbid water came from stormwater pipe (see 001111UC). It is suspected that the water came from construction site; however, we could not identify the source.

Two pictures for this site. A crack is in the sewer pipe (see the second picture). According to WSSC, the pipe is lined increasing structural integrity for the pipe.
