Description: The purpose of this event is to document the biodiversity of the Anacostia River and its watershed. During this event we will identify and discuss the importance and conservation of aquatic species in the Anacostia River focusing on SAV species and the mollusks and other aquatic organisms that live in this important river habitat.

It will be an iNaturalist (https://www.inaturalist.org/) app-based weekend-long event where people will be able to report observations on their own using the app from anywhere in the watershed.

All observations should be made part of the Biodiversity of the Anacostia River project on iNaturalist: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/biodiversity-of-the-anacostia-river
