Help AWS clean the water, recover the shores, and honor the heritage of the Anacostia River by volunteering your time and effort to our programs. Opportunities are available at our outdoor project sites and at our offices in Bladensburg. Earn community service hours!
Recreation
Canoe, kayak, bike, and hike along the Anacostia River and its tributary creeks and streams! AWS encourages everyone to take advantage of recreational opportunities along the river and at parks throughout the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
